Written Not Written
This is my second mail art project and stems from my interest and preoccupations with asemic writing, pentimento, palimsests, typography, paper and books.
Asemic writing:- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asemic_writing
"Asemic writing is a wordless open semantic form of writing"
Pentimento:- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pentimento
"A pentimento (plural pentimenti) is an alteration in a painting, evidenced by traces of previous work, showing that the artist has changed his or her mind as to the composition during the process of painting."
Palimsest:- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palimpsest
"A palimpsest (/ˈpælɪmpsɛst/) is a manuscript page, either from a scroll or a book, from which the text has been either scraped or washed off so that the page can be reused, for another document."
Please send me your interpretation of the theme of written not written in the context of asemic writing. 2D work in the form of postcards, letters, pages, envelopes please. Thank you.
